Poems & Today

Twenty poems since Austin. I know--writing at a rate that would make C. Dale cringe.

I've shown the output so far to about four people. Two responded with great enthusiasm, the other two didn't respond at all. I think that's a good sign. I may be onto something here.

Still morning. Still morning. Yo tengo one sinister coffee drink and two flavors of tulips just down my stairs. Door's open, small breeze works in.

*

Earlier this morning caught a bit of a show on Fred Willard. Greatest comic peformance: has to be in Waiting for Guffman. Cold pizza in the fridge. Onions & Canadian Bacon.

*

Thinking about thinking. My head hurts. My back hurts. The perils of early pre-middle age. On Tuesday, out of nowhere, crippling pain in lower back. Two days later, I can walk around a bit but it's still quite sore.

It feels nice to have been sort of absent from the blogosphere lately. Too much controversy this past month. Anybody have any exciting gossip?

I'm getting these random neck pains - right at the base of the neck. So it's a future of things like this, is it? On another note, write on, and quickly. I would never cringe.

Dude, Tony, so wrong on the Willard. Check him in A Mighty Wind. Best. Ever. Willard. Performance.

No way man. See "A Mighty Wind." A mighty snore.

Willard is actually funnier all the way around in "Best In Show" but there's one scene in Guffman that cracks me up. Dinner with Eugene Levy and talk of his surgery...
