Catch Up Blogging (or is it catsup blogging?)
"Soccer Thug" as defined by "louise"
"It's an english guy who goes to football games and gets drunk and starts fights with fans of the opposing team.
Kind of like the british version of those guys that paint their faces (or chests) at football games.
They tend to be skinny, pale and have shaved heads. "
How the heck am I a soccer thug then? I'm not English. I hate football. I hate fights. I am not pale, nor am I skinny (definitely not skinny). It seems then, that I am lacking five of the seven characteristics of a soccer thug; I do like to get drunk, and my head is shaved, however.
Maybe that's what she meant.

Dinner last night: Chicken Saltimbocca, Green Apple Risotto and Orange & Olive Oil cake. Last two recipes there courtesy of Mario Batali. Did you know that the Red Rocker, Sammy Hagar blurbed Batali's "Simple Italian Cooking?" That's awesome. I know it's probably unhip but I love Sammy Hagar.
Oh yeah, I also had a salad of baby greens, melon, toasted hazelnuts (we call em "Filberts" in these parts), goat cheese, blueberries, and agrodolce vinaigrette.
I tried to cook an acorn squash, but it didn't behave properly.

Teaching two sections of a research writing class right now. Me and a roomful of Macs. It's going to take some getting used to.

I promise to update my links soon. Been too busy and/or lazy to get around to it these days.
