hey! no fair peeking! seriously, though, thanks for digging. it *is* a pixies poem. i was planning on doing a series of pop-music inspired poems, but i only managed to write one other, inspired by the smiths' "i know it's over."
the kristin here is not the throwing muse/50 foot waver (though she can be if you'd like) but rather either kristin kelly (iowa mfaer) or kristin swetland (punkrock banjo playing fashion designer little sister). could really be both of them. i use certain names in my poems repeatedly--sometimes they're referential, sometimes they're not.
