Secretary is the film that made me hot for Maggie Gyllenhaal. I mean, hot in a platonic, obsessive way. Not in a dirty man way.

Spader has made many films. I still like his early role as asshole-in-pretty-in-pink. Watch both movies! Besides, Molly Ringwald and Annie Potts and Jon Cryer are all pretty cute in that flick.

I think it's a shame that you are more excited about Laura Ingalls Wilder than James Spader. And yes, of course, I've read the buildungsroman of the young Almanzo Wilder. You've asked me this question at least a dozen times over the years. And every time I say, "Yes! There are some great food scenes in there!"

The Secretary was a yawn, a big fat yawn. Pretty in Pink? Aw, c'mon. Gimme sex, lies & videotape anyday. I'd do just about anything for that man if he were videotaping me.
