What's the Frequency, Stephen?

A few years back my younger brother Steve was walking back to work in the middle of the afternoon, near 13th and High, when he spied a crazy-looking man across the street. The insane fellow was wielding a hefty phonebook and before Steve could say or do anything, he was bumrushed and knocked briefly unconscious by the Yellow Pages to the side of his head. When he came to, the bum who had rushed him was making a hasty retreat, running backwards, flipping Steve the bird and calling him a "fascist asshole." In this respect, my brother is much like Dan Rather. R.E.M. may write a song about him, if only because Steve once confronted Peter Buck and asked him if he really drank 24 glasses of wine and assaulted a flight attendant. They (Steve and Peter) were both pretty drunk. I thought combat would ensue, but Steve made his saving throw against drunk rock musicians, thereby avoiding injury.

Speaking of Dan Rather, did anyone notice that during last night's "Dan Rather: A Reporter Remembers" Rather said "epiteth"?
