Quarterly Review

It's been three months. [Insert final line from Ted Berrigan's "Words for Love" here.]

*

I'm still fat. I'm still culturally insensitive (to my own culture, no less!).
I get angry more often. I also get happy more often. I start fake literary movements in my spare time. I no longer cook on Thursdays or Mondays, except on accident. I write poems. All poems are love poems, right, Joe?

*

I still like "Greatest Palace Music."

*

Coming soon--how to make that tomatillo sauce. Also, how to make the all-purpose green (cilantro) sauce (gashneetch). Good on pilaf, kabob, pita & all breads, grilled cheese sandwiches.

*

Also coming soon. Some thoughts on Etheridge Knight's "Feeling Fucked Up."

It seems like your little fake movement is getting some big critical attention over at Josh's blog.

Personism, party of one...Personism, your table's ready.

When Josh Corey talks about "interesting friction when rubbed up against" he's talking poetics.

When we talk about "interesting friction when rubbed up against" we're talking about sex.

That is why JC can never understand the New Sincerity.

Oh god I just imagined Josh having sex. Gross!
