81 Poems Project: [I don’t need your praise!]
i don't need your praise! i have self-loathing to work on!
exhausted from Austin my plosives lack combustion
which is to say I’ve found a beer can on your living room
floor. forgive me for discarding it, but damn your pad
was dirty. prickly, cactus like and goosedown I’d rather
go down on something true. out back the grackles flatten
notes, pure syllables of “submit in a moment”—our reading
period is closed. please open up. a mouth. a dot. one small
hindrance may orchestrate a day more brightly blighted.
"I am an idealistic, naive, passionate, truth-seeking, spiritually motivated artist, unschooled in the science of law and finance." --Wesley Snipes
