Coming Soon: "Fuck Integrity, Let's Eat."

Image hosting by Photobucket

The other evening (Tuesday, I believe) I played Clean Out the Fridge Gourmet. I opted for a number of mini-courses, served in two courses.

Course One: "Multicultural" Hot Dog and Fries.

One Nathan's beef frank (unfortunately, skinless, but hey, it beats Oscar Meyer), split and fried, nestled in a generic bun (liberally doused with olive oil and broiled) spread with fig jam.

Accompaniments:
"Cheese plate" consisting of slices of Extra Sharp Tillamook Cheddar, and a fine (microplaned) pile of fluffy Parmigiano Reggiano.

Indian Spiced home fries: cubed potato fried with toasted whole cumin and a bit of garlic.

Hm..Nobody has commented about the juxtaposition of Nathan's franks with galangal root and lime.

My old boyfriend used to make Clean Out the Fridge Burritos, which I refused to eat. Hot dogs with lime? That I could do.
