
Today the best song of the rock and roll era is either
"Up the Junction" by Squeeze
No chorus. Catchy as fuck. Perfectly crafted
narrative illustrating issues of class, love, maturity
and loss, none of which is overplayed.
"When Doves Cry" by Prince
Makes me want to hump. Sexuality charged w/ the
dynamics of a Freudian family romance. Doves crying
gets turned into this carnal thing. The whole track
sweats sex.
