Hey y'all. I'm giving a reading next week in Portland, and I don't know what to read. Those of you who know me (or just my poems, or both)--if you came to see me read, are there any particular poems you would like to hear?
There is a "prompt" for the reading--"Careful." I'm not really sure what it means, but if it helps you to help me choose material, feel free to consider it.
Thanks!

"Apology" would be perfect. x.
Where in Portland are you reading?
I think you should read the poem published in caffeine destiny many many moons ago, so you can mention caffeine destiny.

yes that is self serving. that's the way we are up here in Portland!
Susan,
Well, if you show up, I'll read the CD poem. Tit for tat, yo!
Tony - This isn't by any chance at Wordstock is it? I'd love to see you there! Let me know!
Anything by Maya Angelou, Garrett Hongo, or Thomas Hardy would be the shit!
Actually that Hardy thing was a joke. I actually like him but do not know anything about poetry.
So Long Sonnet!
Mr. Robinson...
You're on! I saw the reading listed in the Oregonian today.
I look like my picture except I won't be wearing sunglasses..

The poems of yours I put on The Duplications. Those were (are) excelentÃsimos.
That poem about the number 13, that I saw in a magazine Rebecca Loudon had. Loved it.
Hm, Susana---
I just looked at those CD poems and one is very short....and the other is, well, I don't know...I still like it, but....
I'll still mention CD...
Peter--
Ah, thanks for the kudos, but that poem is WAY TOO long!
So I will be reading only Angelou and Thomas Hardy.
Yo, Jeannine,
What's Wordstock?
tony,
what - they don't let you read short poems? well, that's okay. but you asked...
