Moving

I'm thinking of moving. Any suggestions? I'd like some urban amenities and somewhere with job opportunities.

Sigh. none of these people appreciate the semi-urban south.

Try Asheville, Chattanooga, Charlottesville, or even Austin if you can stand the TExas...

Tony, I have two favorite places in the whole world:

1. Saginaw, MI
2. Brooklyn, NY

Saginaw has urban amenities but no job opportunities, so may I suggest Brooklyn?

San Fran! You can take over my apartment for the summer. I'll give you the poet discount.

I'm with Lyco! The south is CHEAP and there are increasingly great eateries, bookeries, etc.

Chattanooga is amazingly beautiful, and so is Asheville.

I, of course, want you to join Laura, Bruce Covey, myself in Atlanta... where there are lots of jobs, cool 'hoods, and good food.

We'll build the new world!

Ditto Laurel--Atlanta is awesome and apparently growing. I was counseled by an art student/cab driver there to get in while the housing is cheap and the city is booming. Not as vibrant a food culture as New Orleans, but a great friendly feel and hot.
