Yesterday, after visiting my father in the hospital (recovering from back surgery), my mother related the story of my first complete sentence.
"Daddy, d(r)ink of beer."

Update: Well, okay, it's not grammatically complete. The "I want" is implied, as it often is in childspeak.

Mine was: "No bite Da-Da."
I was biting him, not the other way around.
Mine apparently were 'moon-sky' and 'plane-sky.' weird.
My first sentence was:
"Ball."
Massey
mine was: "SIT DOWN!" as i stood up in my highchair.
Hope your dad's doing well.
Mine was "Show me the money!". So you gotta figure - that something went terribly awry since here I am decades later writing poetry.
