The met in an MFA program. They both left the MFA program without degrees. They met again for the first time in three years one hot July afternoon to discuss: geese, goose fat, grammar, heirloom tomatoes, poetry, book contests, motherhood, crappy jobs, Arto Lindsay, their mothers' bad cooking, and much, much more. They strolled through downtown Eugene! They ate dessert! They bought books by Gabriel Gudding, Clark Coolidge, and Susan Howe! More!
