I haven't blogged too much lately because I've been busy attending departmental functions and "after-parties" (everyone gets drunk at the bar and hits on people they have no business hitting on). I've also been spending too much time at this site.

Tomorrow, my interview thingie goes up at Here Comes Everybody.

I have in my possession right now the very best unpublished poetry manuscript in the world. (No, it's not mine--mine is one of the best in say, East Eugene).
It's thrilling. Its author lives two blocks from Wrigley Field. That's all I can say.

Watched James Toney beat up a no name chump last night. But the chump was actually pretty good--he lasted all twelve rounds and actually seemed excited to have made it that far. Toney has "bulked up" a bit and now looks like Mark Henry, Sexual Chocolate. This is the first and last post on this blog to mention boxing.

English Department function tonight. I'm planning on taking a bunch of pictures and embarrassing my colleagues, so watch this space.

And also, you haven't read mine. Or you'd change your mind!

That's right, Laurel, I haven't read yours. If every poem in it is the peer of your Britney-GBV poem (coming soon to a Canary near you!!) then I might have to change my mind.

But the person's initials are not MS, by the way.
