pre-Turkey Anxiety

Yesterday's malaise has given way to pre-Holiday Anxiety. Everybody knows that college students never attend class (or seek professional help of the variety I offer) on the Wednesday prior to Thanksgiving. And I'm caught up on all my fiddly paperwork. I've done the Times crossword, and the other crossword. I've watched appointments disappear from my calendar. I've drunk too much water and not enough coffee. Or maybe I don't need any coffee. Maybe I need a nice sedative.
